2010/03/17 ,今天公司向廠商借了二台cisco 2960G來給我們玩玩,但廠商並沒有附原廠的GBIC給我們,所以我們只好自己找了別廠的GBIC來使用,但沒想到GBIC插上去,Fible cable也接上去,怎麼更改設定,Port的led指示燈就是不會亮
後來上指令去查看該埠的狀況,如下:
sw1#sh int g 0/8
GigabitEthernet0/8 is down, line protocol is down (err-disable)
G0/8 err-disable 1 a-full a-1000 unsupported
看起來這個port被disable了
使用下面這個指令,看看為何被disable
g0/9 gbic-invaild none
原來是gbic有問題
後來在網路上爬文很久,總算看到,原來cisco不喜歡用別家廠的gbic,所以會自動去偵測,並把它disable
所以我們可以下達下列指令
sw1(config)#service unsupported-transceiver
這樣cisco就不會去檢查GBIC的序號
下完之後，設備會跳出以下的警告訊息：
Warning: When Cisco determines that a fault or defect can be traced to the use of third-party transceivers installed by a customer or reseller, then, at Cisco's discretion, Cisco may withhold support under warranty or a Cisco support program. In the course of providing support for a Cisco networking product Cisco may require that the end user install Cisco transceivers if Cisco determines that removing third-party parts will assist Cisco in diagnosing the cause of a support issue.
大概的意思是.....若不是使用cisco的就不敢保證會不會有問題囉....
